That's it then for another international trip. Over a year in the planning and it's gone in the blink of an eye.
Unseen by parents\scouts there were last minute changes to the program that involved lots of emails and calls (due to changes in staff at external supplies not doing proper handovers and not our Leaders fault). Was the hassle and sleepless nights all worth it though?
Definitely!!
The Scouts had a great time. We have seen Scouts grow in confidence, make new friends, push themselves to new limits, try new activities, experience a different culture and way of life, taste and try new foods and do many things they wouldn't normally do.
Where else apart from in Scouting can they do all that in 10 days?
I don't expect many will have much time to tell their parents all about it tonight, but after a long sleep I'm sure they will need an hour or two to go through it all.
You may be amazed at what your child done and acheived 😀
